A big thank you

First a big thank you from me to you dear blogger friends for all your lovely comments about my 2011 album pages I showed you in my last post.  Your encouragement really does mean a lot and I am determined to see this album through and complete it.

The end of half term approaches and we have had a lovely time - it has great having no deadlines - it has been the rest we all really needed before the silly season starts.  On Wednesday we enjoyed a lovely day at Cliveden with friends - the rain held off and the sun shone.   Just a perfect day!

In other news, I am off to my first ever crop tomorrow - I'm excited to be meeting some "real life"  scrappers but nervous as I won't know anyone.  I'm also panicking about what to take - any suggestions will be gratefully received!

You'll have a lovely time- I went to my first one last month. However much you take will not compare with the other scrappers. I took some recent kits and a few extra embellishments, stamps, ink, cutter, scissors glue etc. Had two bags and thought I had taken too much. They turned up with Trollies, Bags and loads more! I looked like I was travelling very light. Have fun xx

Jo is right..seasoned 'croppers' have an amazing amount of 'stuff'! I used to look out some pics and choose some papers and embellies that might work with them, along with the basics..cutter,glue etc....and hope inspiration came on the day! Have fun...oh! and remember to take some snacks!

I wouldn't worry about what to take - someone will lend you anything you haven't got! Hope you have a lovely time. :)

Enjoy your first crop, you'll love it. I just take the basic tool kit, trimmer, photos and some page kits.

The joy of other scrappers taking loads of stuff is that they have plenty to lend you when you find you have forgotten your craft knife/scissors (my first crop), your ruler, your cutting mat (more of my boo boos) or other assorted items. They will not be able to help if you forget your photos though (as I learnt to my cost!) so make them a priority!! Have fun :D

You will have so much fun!! Croppers are a friendly bunch and you are all there with at least one similarity - you love to scrap!! :)

I've really enjoyed my half term, too :)

Hope you had a lovely time at the crop - I'm too late to offer any advice, and I'd be hopeless anyway as I've never been to a crop!! I have had several crafty get-togethers with a friend though, and always struggle to pack for those....

I hope you had a lovely time at the crop. I have never been to a crop either, though I'd love to find someone round here to scrap with
